Mastery Connect is another great FREE resource to use as a quick formative assessment or cumulative review strategy. You can set up a free account and make an assessment for up to ten questions. If I am using this for cumulative review, which I do a lot, I usually make the assessment no longer than four questions. With this tool, you can link each question to its correlation SOL strand and keep track of student progress. When using this resource as cumulative review, as with and review strategy, be sure to have conversation after the questions. This is to ensure student understanding and review the concepts/vocabulary with students. **I use questions from released SOL item sets and Interactive Achievement** |
How to use Mastery Connect:
1. Create a free account 2. Set up a class (tracker) and assign numbers to each student 3. Create an assessment using Google Docs or Microsoft Word (you will upload this to your library) 4. Go to assessments and add an assessment - label each question with the correlating SOL stem. 5. Assign assessment to correct tracker. **Make sure you have bubble sheets printed** |
